PLANNED as its own grant: derive new objects from an existing one as idempotent jobs (roadmap §30.2 media.derivative.*): object.split, object.remux, object.waveform, object.sprite or thumbnail.regenerate, and approve or cancel a job. Derived objects are private, linked derived_from and stored in the source's namespace; the source never changes. Media's jobs API accepts it as the transform verb of its namespace grants (WS-G task 2), checked for the namespace of the job's object, and media.object.upload still grants that verb; the v1 thumbnail route takes an app key only. It becomes active (grantable to apps) once the job request and answer have schemas.
